River Santos’ world has fallen apart. Her mom disappeared months ago, her house burned to the ground, and her dad didn’t make it out. River has no memory of the night someone mysteriously pulled her from the flames. Now, everyone around her seems to be hiding something, and she’s stuck piecing together the truth while navigating betrayal, heartbreak, and the terrifying feeling of not knowing who to trust.
This book is a rollercoaster. It is fast-paced, full of mystery, and dripping with tension. River’s emotions swing wildly, from love to hate to utter confusion, pulling you along for the ride. I had lots of ideas about what was going on but then another twist would come out of nowhere and prove me wrong. The characters feel real, the suspense never lets up, and the story flows effortlessly. If you love a good mystery packed with action, secrets, and emotional chaos, this one is definitely worth diving into.
