Emily Ray isn’t your typical FBI agent. She searches for missing children. When a young girl vanishes from the very neighbourhood where Emily was once taken, the case becomes deeply personal, forcing her to navigate a labyrinth of memories and buried secrets. The plot unfolds as Emily gathers clues to locate the suspect, someone that she knows very well, while the author's carefully placed twists encourage readers to reexamine the evidence and think more deeply about every detail.
This novel was full of unexpected twists that change the entire projection of the novel. I thought I had guessed the ending halfway through the novel but I was totally wrong. I would rate this book a solid 5 stars. It is well-written, engaging, and manages to keep you interested throughout.
