This novel is a fast paced thriller told by three separate perspectives: Vanessa, Robbie, and Janie. Vanessa is a homemaker, who is figuring out her own identity after the death of her controlling and secretive husband. Robbie is a global singing sensation. Janie is a woman who loves swimming and is excited to start her dream job.

One day Janie is riding her bicycle after a swim in the ocean when she is suddenly mowed down by a van driven by four young men. As their stories unfold, Janie’s tragic accident brings the three characters together.

I really enjoyed reading this story. The plot lines were masterfully intertwined to create an intricate story of mystery, suspense and uncovering the truth. The twists were fantastic additions that continued to drive the plot of the story. I highly recommend it.

Thank you to NetGalley and Penguin Publishing for the opportunity to read this advanced reader copy in exchange for my honest opinion and review.
