This book was an incredible read! It delves into the struggles of a marriage teetering on the edge of divorce. Genevieve is married to Alexandre Moreau-DuPont and they have two small children. Alexandre works nonstop and never seems to be around, while Genevieve grapples with the challenges of fitting in with high-society moms and trying to raising children while also dealing with some lingering regrets about her pre-motherhood life. Genevieve may at first seem like a stereotypical wealthy woman concerned with appearances, but her vulnerabilities and inner conflicts make her relatable and deeply human.

Enter Adeline, a former au pair with a complicated past, who crosses paths with Genevieve at just the right moment. Their meeting feels fated, presenting an opportunity for Genevieve to gain some much-needed support and perhaps reclaim a sense of control over her life. Adeline's character adds layers of intrigue, and her backstory is revealed through flashbacks.

This is by far my favourite novel by Adriane Leigh - the plot twists are absolutely phenomenal! By the time the pieces started falling into place, I found myself questioning everything I thought I understood. The blend of suspense, family drama, and character depth made this book hard to put down.

It’s a must-read, and I can’t recommend it highly enough!
